The head of the Lisbon Unit, Fatima Abrantes, is interviewed on the science podcast “ciência com impacto”
“If we want to predict the future evolution of the Earth’s climate we need to know its past. This is the motto of Fátima Abrantes’ research – a paleoceanographer from IPMA and CCMAR – Centro de Ciências do Mar. And to achieve this goal, the sediments of the ocean floor, shell fossils of bivalves and the eternal ice of the Arctic and Antarctic are studied.”
