Lelia Matos presented her newly funded project “CoralOx”, within the MIT-Portugal Program. This exploratory project will investigate the applicability of cold-water coral chromium-isotopes as a proxy for suboxic ocean conditions. The project will run from July 2021-June2022, in a joint collaboration between IPMA, CCMAR and the EAPS, at MIT. Part of the laboratorial work will be developed at the EMSO-PT Clean Lab, at IPMA, Algés.
